With 4.4 million bags, Brazilian coffee exports break record

Brazil exported 4.4 million bags of coffee in May, a record volume for the month and 79.9% higher compared to the same period in 2023. Revenue from international sales reached US$ 1.017 billion, 85.9% higher than in May last year. The information was released on Monday, the 11th, by the Brazilian Coffee Exporters Council (Cecafé).

In the 11 months corresponding to the 2023 and 2024 crop year, Brazil exported 43.707 million bags of coffee. Within the domestic market, sales of the product totaled 20.69 million bags, also a record amount for the period and representing growth of 52.1% compared to the first five months of last year, said Cecafé.
